What is a sleeping bag liner?
A sleeping bag liner is a thin, soft layer that you put inside your sleeping bag to keep you warmer and more comfortable when you’re camping or hiking. It’s made out of lightweight and breathable fabric that traps body heat, so it’ll keep you warm even when it’s not too cold outside.
How do I use a sleeping bag liner?
After you set up your tent and get everything ready for bedtime, unzip your sleeping bag and put the liner inside of it. It will fit perfectly inside most standard-sized sleeping bags. Then zip up the liner and put your regular sleeping bag over the top of it so that it’s completely enclosed. This creates an airtight seal between the two layers so that heat does not escape.
There are a few different types of sleeping bag liners:
Synthetic: Usually made from polyester or polypropylene, these liners will keep you warm when it is cold but can hold onto moisture if it gets wet. They are often used by people who do not want to wash their sleeping bags as often as they should be washed.
Down: These are made of down feathers and will keep you warm even when wet. Down is a bit more expensive than synthetic materials, but it lasts longer and has better insulation properties than synthetic materials do.
Fleece: Fleece is the most popular type of sleeping bag liner because it is lightweight and easy to carry around with you wherever you go (even if it’s just a day trip). It’s also breathable so that moisture doesn’t build up inside the liner itself–which means no funky smells!
How do I choose a good one?
There are lots of different kinds of liners available today—but only some of them are worth investing in! Here are some tips for choosing one:
Make sure it’s made out of 100% polyester microfleece material to trap as much heat against your skin as possible.
Make sure that it’s not too heavy or bulky. You want something lightweight so it doesn’t weigh down your backpack too much.
