Uganda Safari Itinerary (10 Days)

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
• Arrival: Land at Entebbe International Airport. You will be picked up here.
• Accommodation: Check into the Entebbe forest lodge, a 4-star hotel located on the shores of Lake Victoria.
• Activities:
• Relax by the beach or pool.
• Optional visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre.

Day 2: Entebbe to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
• Travel: Drive approximately 3.5 hours (164 km) to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola District.
• Accommodation: Stay at Amuka Lodge, offering comfortable accommodations within the sanctuary.
• Activities:
• Embark on a guided on-foot rhino tracking experience.
• Enjoy birdwatching and nature walks in the sanctuary.

Day 3: Ziwa to Murchison Falls National Park
• Travel: Continue north for about 3 hours to Murchison Falls National Park.
• Accommodation: Check into sambiya river Lodge, a 3-star lodge overlooking the Nile River.
• Activities:
• Visit the top of Murchison Falls for panoramic views.
• Relax at the lodge and enjoy the sunset over the Nile.

Day 4: Murchison Falls Safari
• Activities:
• Morning game drive on the northern bank to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and more.
• Afternoon boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls, observing hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife.
• Optional hike to the top of the falls for a different perspective.

Day 5: Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park
• Travel: Embark on a full-day drive (approximately 7–8 hours) to Kibale National Park, known for its primate diversity.
• Accommodation: Stay at Tebebuia resort, an eco-friendly lodge at lake Nyabikere offering deluxe accommodations and wellness amenities like a spa and pool.
• Activities:
• Evening at leisure to enjoy the lodge’s amenities and prepare for chimpanzee tracking.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale
• Activities:
• Morning briefing followed by chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees.
• Afternoon visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birdwatching and community interaction.
• Optional guided nature walks around the lodge.

Day 7: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
• Travel: Drive approximately 3 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its diverse ecosystems.
• Accommodation: Check into Engiri game lodge and campsite at the edge of the park where wildlife roams free day and night.
• Activities:
• Evening game drive or relaxation at the lodge.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth Safari & Kazinga Channel
• Activities:
• Morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains to spot lions, elephants, and antelopes.
• Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, observing hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
• Optional visit to the Katwe Salt Crater Lake.

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth to Lake Mburo National Park
• Travel: Drive approximately 5–6 hours to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park.
• Accommodation: Stay at Rwakobo rock, a luxury lodge set on a rocky outcrop with panoramic views
• Activities:
• Evening/night game drive to spot nocturnal wildlife like leopards and hyenas.

Day 10: Lake Mburo to Entebbe
• Activities:
• Optional morning walking safari or horseback riding within the park.
• Drive approximately 4–5 hours back to Entebbe.
• Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a farewell lunch or visit local craft markets on a leisurely walk around Entebbe.
• Departure: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
