The Jungle fever Mabira forest trail

The Jungle fever mabira forest trail is an advanced 5-6 hour trail in the depth of the biggest rainforest in Uganda.

Mabira is a rainforest area covering about 300 square kilometres (120 sq mi) (30,000 hectares (74,000 acres)) in Uganda, located in Buikwe District, between Lugazi and Jinja. It has been protected as Mabira Forest Reserve since 1932.

The Jungle fever hiking trail is known as the Namusa hill trail. It starts from the Musambya  river at Griffin falls, winds it's way through the deep jungle, climbs up to Namusa hill and comes out in the community and back to Griffin falls camp.

The trail is mostly flat with some short climbs and the longest climb being to Namusa hill. You will come accross  singing birds, red tailed monkeys, huge trees, fallen logs, butterflies, forest berries (don't touch), over night grown huge mushrooms (again don't touch), temporary bridges, the zip lining towers, the trail dividing river and a lot on the trail.

It is a same day hiking trail and this is what you would need to pack.
